The BG-250 was one of the first full-sized instruments
Gold Tone produced. Its convertible feature allows for
a great bluegrass tone, and by removing the resonator
and brackets, you can play a genuine old-time openback.
This is a great feature for players wanting to play both
bluegrass and old-time styles. The slim neck provides
easy playability and the bell brass flathead tone ring
contributes to its loud volume.

The BG-250 comes standard with convertible resonators
and brackets. To convert an openback, remove the four
resonator mounting thumb screws. Using the included
bracket wrench, remove the two nuts behind each
mounting bracket and remove the plate. Repeat on
the other three plates and then retighten the nuts.
There you have it - A versatile banjo for versatile players!
